Fellowship Nomination Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to the Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation for a research fellowship. The nomination process will be opened as of October 2008, and nominations are due in January 2009.

Below are the application guidelines. Please review them carefully and follow them when making your online submission.
Nominations are accepted only from the Chairs of Departments of Psychiatry at pre-selected medical institutions. If you would like to verify that your institution has been selected or you would like your institution to be selected, please contact the Foundation.
Department Chairs may nominate only one research project and investigator for the ADHD fellowship and one research project and investigator for the depression fellowship. Nominators should submit a 1-2 page letter describing the post-doctoral investigator’s qualifications to lead the proposed research project and the level of institutional support. Each project must have a mentor to oversee the work of the post-doctoral investigator. The mentor must be a faculty member at the nominating institution. The mentor should submit a 1-2 page letter of recommendation describing his or her familiarity with the post-doctoral investigator’s work, its importance, and the nature of the mentor’s oversight and involvement. If the proposed research project and mentorship plan requires a substantive contribution from a mentor at a different site, there should be an additional letter from the off-site mentor documenting his or her involvement in the oversight of the project as well as the nature of the of the mentorship and the expected time commitment.

The primary investigator must submit:
- Contact information for the nominator, mentor, and investigator
- The official title of the proposed project
- The thesis or research questions
- Specific demographics on the population to be researched
- All other grants and awards applied for and/or received
- A personal statement describing reasons for interest in and commitment to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry
- The primary investigator’s curriculum vitae
